Last week we stayed at one of my favorite hotels when we were in Texas for a convention. The facility itself is nice, but one key that makes it a favorite of mine is a petite, cheerful lady named Ling Ling.
You see, the lobby is rather large; and the moment you walk in that front door with your luggage in hand, Ling Ling steps forward to greet you with a big smile: “Hello! Welcome! How are you?” She asks your name and guides you to the front desk, where she introduces you by name to one of the registration agents there.
And just as soon as you finish checking in and step away from that desk with your room key, she comes smiling to meet you again, guides you to the elevators (even pushes the button for you!), and wishes you a pleasant stay.
Ling Ling makes it simple to find your way around. Yes, you could figure it out for yourself, but her skillful guidance helps you relax. She removes the stress that can come from making decisions in an unfamiliar situation.
We want to make it simple for you to find your way around a Charlotte Mason education. Today we are happy to announce some new resources that will remove the stress and help you relax, because the decisions have already been made, the planning is already done for you!
Introducing new daily lessons for Enrichment Studies and Individual Studies!
Enrichment studies are the subjects that add enjoyment to your curriculum and enrich your family’s lives—picture study, music study, hymn study, poetry, literature, handicrafts, art instruction, nature study, habit training, and more! These subjects are distinctives in a Charlotte Mason education. Our new Enrichment Studies, Volume 1, will detail in daily plans how to give your whole family this wide feast in just one hour a day through short lessons and lots of variety!
Individual Studies cover language arts, math, and science. Younger students vary greatly in readiness for reading and writing, so each Individual Studies book for grades 1–3 offers two tracks of reading and writing plans. Plus, the daily lessons are designed to allow you to use the math curriculum of your choice, and all of your elementary students can even share the same SCM science course. Currently, Individual Studies are available for grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, and grade 4.
Keep It Simple
Now, those of you who are familiar with our award-winning series of daily lessons for history, geography, and Bible may have already connected the mental dots: with the new Enrichment Studies and Individual Studies books in place, you can now have an entire year of daily lessons in all subjects!
