We’ve had a great response to our series on Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life — Charlotte Mason’s three-pronged approach to educating our children! It’s been refreshing to go back to the basics over the past few weeks.
Now here is that little surprise we promised you: we’ve put all the posts and much more into a free e-book for you! This 45-page book has all of our “Education Is” discussions collected in one place, along with lots of extra content, practical Q&A’s, and helpful charts.
Feel free to share the link with your friends. This e-book might make a great introduction for a homeschooling friend who is struggling with curriculum choices or wants to learn more about Charlotte Mason methods. It might be an encouragement to a mom who wants to develop good habits in her child or who needs a little boost in setting the atmosphere of her home.
We hope this book will be a gentle reminder to make all three components important in home education. “Education is a discipline — that is, the discipline of the good habits in which the child is trained. Education is a life, nourished upon ideas; and education is an atmosphere — that is, the child breathes the atmosphere emanating from his parents; that of the ideas which rule their own lives” (Vol. 2, p. 247).
By the way, we’re already planning our next series of posts. It will be on nature study, and we’re looking forward to starting it in just a few weeks. In the meantime, we’ll be sharing some exciting updates and new resources with you!
