This post full of pictures made me sigh with longing…I just want to take my family there and see my children’s faces at the glimpse of such a glorious feast spread before them. Amazing ideas. I’m already thinking – surely I could use a corner here or there and add a taste of this to our home.
This is gorgeous! But for me, it looked like a bunch of stuff for the littles to tear down and apart, lol. I just recently bought a huge hardwood bookshelf that has doors on the bottom half to keep the little boys out. I will have to be satisfied with that for this season of my life. One day I’d love to have a room like this though!
That IS nice, but Christie I still like yours better! I LOVE the windows in yours, in fact you really shouldn’t post pictures, because if we ever move near you we’ll probably be over everyday for “school”.
Oh, Rebekahy, you’re sweet! Anytime you’re in FL, pop on over. We love guests! I do want to post pictures of my school room again, when it’s put back together. I’m still mid book swap, so it’s a bit messy.
I saw this post as well. Beautiful. I would love to have a room – large or small- dedicated to homeschooling. Alas, not in this house. But maybe someday!
Pretty sure that beautiful room is as big as my house 🙂 ours is a dining/kitchen/living room, slowly it is coming together. Hopefully by the time we really start year 1 I will have a place for everything
Beautiful room, but, Kayla – I was thinking the same thing – that room is as big as my house – and has almost as much furniture as my house LOL I only have one big table for everything that needs doing – sewing, drawing, writing, painting, board games – and oh yeah, eating LOL. But like charlotte says, education is an atmosphere LOL we have that “atmosphere” everywhere. That’s what I keep telling myself, anyway. 😉
I love the look of this room — beautiful photography — but I can’t imagine having the money or the space or time to do all of this. I do not have a talent for decorating, I’m afraid.
I thought it was nice “eye candy” 🙂 but not very achievable for many of us.
We have never had a dedicated room for school. If we had an extra room and no idea what to do with it – never mind that is never happening! Our whole house is our schoolroom. And I agree, that room is huge. I was thinking, since it is as big as our house and we use our whole house for school….epiphany…I can just decorate my house like that! Lol!
Beautiful! While we are just two day into our CM style of education (we previously used Abeka mostly) and before we started I redid our space to provide an atmosphere that inspires and is cozy and comfy. We all appreciate it in our own way. definitely worth the effort. Thank you for posting the pics.
