Ever since we started publishing the Picture Study Portfolios, we’ve had requests for one on Claude Monet and one on Vincent van Gogh. People wanted those two artists not only because the beautiful quality of our art prints would do their works justice, but also because people knew that our artist biographies would be appropriate for the whole family.
We are happy to announce that the Impressionists have arrived! Emily Cottrill has once again done a superb job of selecting beautiful works of art and sharing interesting Leading Thoughts. And this time she has surpassed herself by writing original biographies for Monet and Van Gogh that are captivating, interesting, and completely family-friendly.
In addition, the rich, vibrant colors of Titian’s work are now available in a Picture Study Portfolio too. This prominent artist, who lived at the same time as Michelangelo, is another “must have” in the art appreciation line-up.
All three new Picture Study Portfolios—Titian, Monet, and Van Gogh—are available in printed or electronic download format. And additional prints are available for classrooms, co-ops, or families who want each child to have his or her own beautiful copy. We will also have the printed portfolios at our booth at the homeschool conventions we will be attending; but be forewarned that they sell out quickly at those live events, so don’t delay.
Make plans now to give your children the beauty of Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Titian’s The Virgin and Child, and Monet’s Waterlilies!
This is wonderful news! I have been so pleased with the Michelangelo Picture Study Portfolio. We can’t wait to see the new ones!
These are great! Please include some female artists, too- there were some great painters nearly back to Michelangelo’s time, and we rarely hear of them. Signed, a painter who could have used some education about female artists herself when she was younger.
We are currently studying VanGogh and I was so excited when I saw the post this morning! Can’t wait to get the PDF and begin it today!
Just ordered the Monet, and just in time too. Planning on Van Gogh for next year. Any chance there will be a Picasso set in the near future? And I also would love to see some women in the crowd – Frida Khalo? Mary Cassatt? Oh, and some Matisse and Gauguin? Thanks!
