- Read the story.
- Hear the script.

Shakespeare in Three Steps: The Comedy of Errors provides everything you need:
- A well-written story version of the play by Charles and Mary Lamb—a classic narrative that has been providing a wonderful introduction to The Comedy of Errors for decades.
- The complete script of the play with helpful notes to explain unusual terms or add to your understanding of Shakespeare’s stories, characters, and lines. - Candid reviews of several video recordings of the play to save you time previewing and help you select an appropriate presentation for your students to watch and enjoy.

This was a great first play for us to introduce Shakespeare. We leaned into the slapstick parts of it, and my kids thought it was hilarious. They particularly enjoyed the scenes with Doctor Pinch, so we memorized those and acted them out and recorded them.
The three steps outlined in this resource make the subject open and go. We used peg dolls during the reading of the summary and listening to the audio play. We watched two different versions of it on YouTube and we able to go see it live. My kids who were only 6 and 7 at the time now think Shakespeare is fun due to such a great introduction to it.
