Product Description
Teach your children useful life skills with short and simple handicraft lessons!
Charlotte Mason intentionally included handicrafts in her school schedule. She believed that “another elemental relationship, which every child should be taught and encouraged to set up, is that of power over material. Every child makes sand castles, mud-pies, paper boats, and he or she should go on to work in clay, wood, brass, iron, leather, dress-stuffs, food-stuffs, furnishing-stuffs. He should be able to make with his hands and should take delight in making” (Vol. 3, p. 80).

hmsiebert –
This is the first handicraft video lessons my 10-year-old daughter has tried – and she is loving it! In early January as a winter project, we watched the introductory video and shopped for our materials. My daughter slowly progressed through learning the first stitch style with the delightful lessons. Rebecca is a lovely instructor and is like a “big sister” for my daughter. With a couple weeks of persistent effort, my daughter went from struggling to make the first stitches to daily knitting during family read-aloud time, which has resulted in a nearly-finished scarf that will be perfect for our cold early springs. Success!
My daughter and I both highly recommend this video series. Perfect for a beginner, with useful projects to accomplish.
