Sheltering vs. Exposure

Thanks Christie for posting what you did…I had wanted to post something when this topic first came up, but never found the time to sit down and try to put what I was thinking into words.  I think you summed it up much of what I was thinking well.   I have appreciated this discussion as we are a missionary family who has lived overseas for 10 years, yet are praying over a possible change in ministry that would very likely take our children out of the sheltered, largely Christian environment where we have been serving to a place where we were ‘out in the world’ a bit more so to speak.  It may be more difficult to shelter my children…but I get excited about the possibility of living a lifestyle of ministry which my children will observe as they grow up, and hopefully they too will develop a heart for ministry and for sharing Jesus with the lost as a result.   Amy, I am excited for your family too!  We will pray for you all when the Lord brings you to mind.
