Wanted to tell of night 2 on strike.  We (dh and I) had dialated eye apts that didn’t bring us home till 6:30 and remember my kids are early risers so it’s bed time at 7:30.   I didn’t know what to expect being it was a crazy “seeing” night for us.  But at 7:20 he called the kids in and had them settle down.  Said he couldn’t see still close so he was not doing a devotional card and that we’d just do prayer.  And he did it again, short, simple and to the point.  But those boys were quiet, listened intently, and were in smiles.

I was so happy that if my dh had looked at me (which I don’t know if he did or not) during prayer he would have seen a smile from ear to ear and my heart to heaven.  I don’t know what will continue every day is a new day but 2 days a great step forward for us and he’s got my heart on this one!  Misty

So happy for you, Misty!  It sounds like he may be opening up to it, and I will pray that he is on the path that is best for everyone.

Also wanted to say, along with my reply to this topic earlier, that this morning my dh complimented me on being such a great mother and how awesome it is that I am faithful to our devotions each night and teaching the girls and reading to them from the Bible.  Smile  What a guy….  <sigh>  It was unprovoked, too, which made it incredibly special.
