new to CM . I was looking at the Middle Ages, Renaissance Family History. I got confused as they mentioned that the Geography focuses in South and Central America and Australia?? Shouldn’t it be Europe? Why the Fam Enrichment does not correlate with the rest

Visits to Europe is used with the Matthew through Acts & Ancient Rome lesson plans because the Roman Empire controlled much of Europe. Visits to South and Central America, Australia is used with the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation & Epistles lesson plans because that guide covers the time of the explorers who discovered the Americas and Australia.

The Enrichment Studies do not line up with any particular history time period. Artists and composers selected for each study are purposely not all from the same time period because artists and composers from the same time period tend to paint/compose in similar styles. It can be difficult to recognize each artist’s or composer’s works if all the artists/composers studied in a year are a similar style.

Keeping a Book of Centuries allows the student to make the connections with when each artist, composer, and poet lived and the events happening in the world during their life times.
