I’ve been previewing some books to decide which we want to use for History and found this little book.  It has many very short versions of famous legends.  It might be a good one for a beginning narrator, since the stories are complete and interesting, but quite short.  I haven’t read them all, so I’d recommend previewing for content, but they might engage your son more than Aesop did.

Thanks again for all the great advice.

That heritage site looks great… I will try some things there.

I am having some progress with narration lately, but it will be a long road.

Haven’t tried the route of using contemporary kiddy picture books for an easy start, but that might be my next thing to try.

Still, very excited about offering my child this great opportunity!

    thanks again,

Most, if not all, of the books at Heritage History can be found for free at places like MainLesson, Project Gutenberg and others.
