Who has read Karen Andreola’s new book? Is it worth buying? Is it just ideas? It’s in my basket at Amazon and I’m wondering if I should go ahead and get it.

I have it and really enjoyed it! So encouraging. I often pull it out and re read certain sections.

I don’t often read “self help” type books. Not sure if that is the correct catagroy, but it helps me so I put it in that category in my mind 🙂 And I really enjoyed it. It is different than, but reminds me in style of encouragement, to SCM Laying Down the Rails for Adults, full of encouragement, and about doing what works for you, starting where you are and going from there, not trying to copy someone else but thoughts about just starting where you are. 🙂

I am not great at book reviews, as you can tell haha, but I really do enjoy it. It is a keeper 🙂

I have really appreciated this book!  It is so much more than ideas.  It is full of encouragement concerning home educating, parenting, Mother Culture and more.  We have the first 3 chapters available as a free download on the website.  I encourage you to check it out.

Thanks, Tamara, I’ll check them out. I convinced my husband it would be a perfect Mother’s Day gift! 🙂

I’m halfway through the book and it’s exactly what I needed.  It really is a good book.

Wonderful book! I read the entire thing and plan to refer to it often as an encouraging resource. You won’t be disappointed!

I enjoyed the book, but it is less about specific ideas and more about inspiration, if that makes sense.  It reminded me of the non-subject-specific chapters in her book “A Charlotte Mason Companion”, but expanded.

Oh, yes! This is a wonderful book! I was so encouraged by it, so much so that I turned right around after finishing it and started at the beginning again. God blessed Karen greatly with the ability to give wisdom and encouragement through her words. I highly recommend it.
