I FULLY agree with talking with your husband.

My house is no where near as clean & organized as he would prefer.

But, I now know (it took a LONG while to get this) when my hubby walks in the door he likes for the main area to be tidy (how shocking 😉

He likes the sink clear of dishes (don’t have a dishwasher either) and “his peaceful” space.

So, on those “CRAZY- I don’t know where the hours went” days about an hour before hubby’s return,

I have my boys (6,6,&9) gather by the front door.

We go out, turn around and walk back in together.

So we can see what Daddy will see when he gets home.

Small house, so from the front door you walk into the dining room area, stare into the living room.

Look to the right & you see into the kitchen directly at the sink.

I ask the questions: “Would daddy like to see that there? Will he be happy @ that?”

I call it the “10 min. Tidy”

Everyone wants to please Daddy & tell him what they helped clean up.
