I am looking at history curriculums for next year.  My son has used Abeka at his co-op the past two years.  I am considering Sonlight.  Any suggestions?  He will be in 7th grade next year.

Also, although he has cooked some with my mom and with me, I want to do an actual curriculum next year so that he takes it very seriously.  Any suggestions or thoughts?

    Thanks,

    rhonda

Please take a look at our (SCM) history guides.  Our history plan is spread over 6 years, making 7th grade a wonderful time to begin with Genesis through Exodus & Ancient Rome!  Your son will spend time with living books (literature, biographies, non-fiction) to bring him into a relationship with each time period.

Have you heard of Plain and Not So Plain? She has a home economics course and a Household and Personal Management Skills course that may work. I used her Home Economics course with my daughter a few years back.
