I’m looking for a recommendation for a good woodworking book for kids.  My boys are 8 and 5.  Thanks.

I have a great beginner book that I could sell you. My son has grown out if it and I would love to sell to someone who would enjoy it. I can pm you with a photograph of the book and information. It’s called Beginning Woodworking with Children. I purchased it a homeschool convention a few years ago.

    Perhaps check out this website?

They recommend soap carving for those under 11 but also have info many other types of carving.

Not sure of a book, but we did the Young Woodworkers Kit Club when my older boys were younger. They enjoyed it. It was a Christmas gift from grandparents one year Wink.

Soap carving is lots of fun too! We have THIS book.

Thank you for the suggestions! I’d never thought of soap carving. I think my boys would love that. Simple Home, I’d also be interested to learn more about your book if you want to pm me.
