Hello at SCM. Just wondering, especially based on some not-so-great reviews on amazon (specifically about the Christians in exploration), why “Around the World in 100 Years” was chosen as the geography book for Module 4. Are there other substitutes that could be considered? I’m guessing it was chosen because it flows more like a biography, instead of a textbook. Thanks for any advice. I will be teaching a Kindergartener and a second-grader. I’m still open to using this book, but just wanted some additional feedback or insights into it.

You’re right, we selected that book because of it’s conversational tone and readability. Yes, it contains a couple of references to Christians that I don’t agree with, but those are easily edited out or used as a discussion starter for older children. For your age children, I would just edit as I’m reading aloud.
