I am happy to say that We greeted baby number 6 in to the family one month ago today! She is a beautiful baby girl named Hosanna Grace. We now have 2 girls and 4 boys.
We are about to be “paper pregnant”. 🙂 I am sitting next to our adoption agency folder right now. We have one daughter from Guatemala that is 4.5 so I am sooo ready to add to our family. It is scary starting the process just because our last two years have been so rocky financially with the economy but we finally have a job and I am going to close my eyes and hold God’s hand. Any prayers for strength and faith and wisdom would be appreciated! Congrats to all the birth and adopting moms! I love to hear about big families. 🙂 You are so blessed!
Wow Rebekahy, we are due the same day! I was pretty surprised that my due date didn’t change, as for my other 3, they added on time to the due date – at least a week or week and a half! And then 2 of them went over the new due date by a bit… my first I went into labour on the new due date. But with this one, they said the due date was looking right on.
However, I’ve been “told” I can’t have the baby on the 25th or 26th…. as that is the birthdates of my 2 grandkids! LOL. I told their mom that if the baby is coming I am NOT holding it in!
Sounds like we would have a great playdate… when does your almost 2 year old turn 2? Ours turns 2 on May 17th.
Truly blessed, are adoptions open from Guatemala again? I went to an orphanage in Guatemala this past July. It was a wonderful experience, actually I got pregnant with the baby I am holding now upon arriving home from Guatemala and so the joke around here is that since adoptions were closed I got pregnant. I have friends that call her my Guatemala baby (;
Huyones, no unfortunately Guatemala is still closed. We are looking at Ethiopia. 🙂 So funny about your Guat baby! I can’t wait to do a mission trip there some day soon. I have a feeling since that country is so close to my heart that I would just fall over from grief of wanting to take all the children home, but I still look forward to going one day.
Congrats on the new baby julee! And to all those who are adopting. That is a truely special gift that you are able to give these children and I am grateful for families like yours, for we just couldn’t do it financially (without a lot of God’s grace).
Well, I haven’t posted here in a while, but when I saw this thread I had to share my joy with you all. This Monday (the 17th) we will be finalizing our adoption of our two little foster boys! Brendan is 27months and Ty is 15months. We got Brendan when he was 4 mos old and Tyler came to us right from the hospital. This will be 6 adopted children for us. We have a girl-25, boy 24, girl 6 and a boy 5 in addition to the little guys. We have no biological children. God has blessed us more than we could have hoped!!!
My goodness this is so cool. We have an 8 yr old ds, 3 yr old ds, and 16 month old twin girls. I am happy (and a little sad) to say that we are done. I wish the best for all of you expecting and may you have great joy with your new little blessings when they arrive.
