I am about to begin reading the CM series, finally, and I am not sure which volume is best to start with. I would instinctively go with volume 1, but I seem to recall volume 6 is the recommended starting point. Where is the best place to start?

You can’t go wrong with either book!  Volume 1 has lots for younger kids, but the moms in my study group with just older kids got a lot from it too.

Volume 6 was written later in her life, so there would be more experience behind her writing.  I think that’s the main reason for starting with it.

You really can’t go wrong with either.  Vol 1 covers children up to age 9 (or there abouts).  Vol 6, in my opinion, is Charlotte’s introduction to her method.  She wrote it after many years of experience.  To me, it’s the overview while other volumes go into more detail.
