The thread about buying used books made me think of this. I know people post CM related materials here and sell books through Homeschool Classifieds. Are there other places to sell used curricula and books?
I gave several books to my sister to sell on ebay because she already sells other things there. My Book House volumes and history books by the same author were among them.
Does Abe books or others mentioned in the other thread buy books? If so, is it a good deal for the individual or would the be better off selling some other way? I really should go through our books and sell some to help with buying what we need now…
KelleyParticipantIf you’re on Facebook there are a few different homeschool classifieds groups. Often for example, if you find a Charlotte Mason Homeschooling type of group, you can either sell on there or they’ll tell you what group you can use to sell on.
KarenParticipantIt’s not the best option, because I don’t think they give you exactly what the books are worth, but 2nd & Charles is a store that buys and sells used books, DVDs, CDs, games, comics, etc. You drop off your books and in one hour, they tell you what they’ll buy from you. You get more money if you take it in store credit, but I don’t think you get the amount from them that you’d get by selling person to person…….but you have to factor in the shipping, the hassle, etc.
Oh, 2nd& Charles doesn’t do online sales, I don’t think.
bethannaParticipantI went to a store like that in Chattanooga, TN, called McKays. I bought a good many books there for a reasonable price.
