Hello,
I just had a look at the History curriculum from SCM and I don’t see any biographies incorporated into the lesson plans, or am I missing it?
When should I start incorporating biographies and during which lesson should I do it, according to the lesson plans History is done on Thursday & Friday but it doesn’t list biographies, so when and how often should I include these?
Kind Regards
Lindy
rhapsidee777ParticipantOoooh wait, I see biographies in the other History manuals, but not in the first one. Is there a reason biographies are not incluced in this volume?
CrystalNParticipantI cant say for sure what SCM’s reasoning was when choosing books. But in the first module you are reading the Bible which has a ton of biographies, and also Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt which is kind if a book of biographies. I dont know if you could find anything better for that time period.
rhapsidee777ParticipantThank you that helps a lot! 🙂
Tamara BellModeratorWe include simple biographies in the younger years for some of the later historical years. As already mentioned, a lot is read straight from the Scripture which include biographies. Beyond that, it is extremely difficult to find biographies written about people from the Ancient Era, that do not include much discussion of their religious beliefs and the various gods.
rhapsidee777ParticipantThank you, I am just going to do it like SCM does it in her schedule then 🙂
