What to do about all my books? Help??

I would Love, Love, Love, a library in my home. However, I have no room. I even begged my husband to add a school room to our home when we talked about extending our bathroom.  I was told by a carpenter that because of our roof it couldn’t be done. I still hold onto the fact that it can be and keep praying that it will.  However, we are looking to build our cabin this spring. It doesn’t look like I will be increasing in space. If all else maybe downsizing. The up side is we will be getting rid of a house payment, hopefully soon. I so love books and that is why I haven’t gotten rid of them. Yes, I am an official Book Hoarder!  LOL  🙂

    I am so greatful for all of the suggestions here. I never thought of selling the copy and buying on kindle. That’s a very good idea. I also hate to destroy books.  I am still looking for a decent copy of a costume book that I have been wanting forever.  I have only found older copies that are in poor shape. 

    I didn’t think about the print being to small. That would be a problem. Unless I get a better pair of glasses. Thanks for the heads up on that one DawnD

    I am greatful for Dougs suggestions and will have to look into that scanner you like. I know how much you value books to.  🙂   I know you also understand my book hoarder problem. 🙂  I am glad for your suggestions. I think I will look into that scanner also.

   A little of this and a little of that may get me back on track.  The thought of all of this has given me hope. I feel good about boxing up certain books for sale and others for possiable scanning.  It helped me look at what I have and what I can get rid of but also keep. 🙂  I think if I did get into doing a Lending Library I would be in trouble.  I am greatful that I know what twaddle is.  This helped eliminate those books right away. I didn’t have much of those anyway but it was much easier. I think my husband knows I have a problem and would probably tell me the Library probably isn’t the best idea.  Maybe if he makes me a building for homeschooling on our property. I will be able to do it then. Otherwise all of the ideas here will have to be used in the future also.   He has his own stash and I can see his starting to grow to. 🙂   He has been looking at my Herbal Books with enthusiasm. He has even given me some new recipes…  Tehe he…   He will probably be wanting a library in the future.
