What is the difference between Easy Grammar Plus and Daily Grams?

Can you please tell me what the difference is between these two products?  Are they meant to be used together?  I am trying to find a good fit for my soon to be 7th grader who hasn’t really done any formal grammar yet.  He still struggles with remembering the difference between an adjective and an adverb.  I’m really looking for something with a write-in work book rather than something that would require him to copy all the sentences into another notebook, otherwise I would probably go with Our Mother Tongue.  Writing is very difficult for him, so I don’t want to discourage him with too much copy work.

We have used both.  EGP does not have (if I remember right) wrong spellings/capitalizations/punctuation, etc. to have the student fix, DG does.  We used to use DG and, when I posted ques. about it, Sonya shared with me how CM kept away from her students “seeing” the wrong spelling/grammar/punctuation.  She did share that every family is different and that it isn’t “wrong” to use it.  We did stop using it and went with another grammar product.

The format of the EGP I have is not friendly, to me.  It is such a large workbook and having the answers on one side, student text to fill in on the other, didn’t work for me and the size of the text is just too much for a workbook.

They are both “fill-in-the-blank” or “underline the noun/pronoun,” etc., which is perfectly fine, we have just chosen to use other products.

Okay –I know that the TM has the reproducible pages as we as the answers, but that there is a separate student workbook if you don’t care to photocopy.  I will have to look closer at the product descriptions and sample pages regarding editing, etc. I have a fellow homeschool moms who loves the EG program but hasn’t used anything higher than 4th grade yet.

If I had purchased them separately then it may have made a difference.  My ds preferred Junior Analytical grammar over EGP, but I was the one that switched us (not good on my part, we should’ve just finished JAG) and EGP was given to me and I thought it would be more “open and go.” It is, in a way.  There is minimal teacher/student instruction, so in that way, it is open and go, but the text I have is just not good for us.

Actually, I had orderd one for my ds, also, and had the other given to us. (My poor son.) He would’ve been better off just sticking with one product.Yell
