I was reading in the Hearing and Reading… book,

    http://simplycharlottemason.com/store/hearing-and-reading-telling-and-writing-a-charlotte-mason-language-arts-handbook/

in the chapter on reading for instruction and it says to be careful that the child does not have slipshod reading habits, but it is not clear on what these are. Any ideas?

Slipshod means lack of care or thought. It would apply to a person who isn’t really trying or is sloppy because he doesn’t care about what he’s doing or the importance of doing a good job.

I think we are doing okay then. Thanks for clearing that up.
