What about research papers?

    Hello all you lovely Moms 😊
    I have a random question. Does anyone know if Charlotte Mason spoke of doing research papers? I’m talking about the traditional research paper that uses steps and has you write down info on those 3×5 cards. I have not come across it yet in our time of using CM. Is this important to know…. how to construct a research paper? Help me out wise Mommas! Thank you!

    I think it is important, especially for college.  I require at least one for my seniors, college or not.

    I doubt if CM talked about them, but I could be wrong! Seems to me they are sort of a modern thing. My oldest is only in 9th, and I am having him do two a year, but for now I’m sort of treating them as a longer expository narration. 🙂 Also, I am using them as a tool to teach how to cite sources, so the length and the method are less important to me.

    All college bound students should learn to write a research paper at some point. I’m saving it for 12th grade.
