  • I am really interested in buying Whole wheat berries and grinding my own flour.  Does anyone use their Vita Mix to do this?  I know in the manual it says that you can, but I wondered if it would kill the motor using it on a daily basis.

I have a Vita Mix 🙂 Love using it for just about anything. It’s really easy to grind grain to flour. You don’t need to worry about it burning the motor out. The motor will stop if it starts to overheat. Give it about 15 to 20 minutes and it will  cool and work again. I’ve actually done this. <blush> It meant that I put a little too much grain in and was in too big of a hurry. The flour comes out really nice. I’ve made it fine for pastry and a bit more coarse for breads.

Enjoy that Vita Mix! LOL! It has been the most versatile tool in our kitchen.

Nope, I don’t sell them… just enjoy using them.

Thanks, I make smoothies in mine.  I even have made Soup and powdered sugar.  I am glad to hear it works great on grains.
