Can anyone who has used Omnibus for high school give me some feedback on it?  Pros/Cons?  How long did it take each day?  Does it mesh well with CM?  I’d love some feedback from moms who have used it with their students.  Thanks!

I have an upcoming 8th and 9th grader and we just finished our 2 yr. Omnibus 1 curriculum! Yes, it took us 2 years and still we didn’t finish it all. The reading is EXTENSIVE, even for 7th grade work! The Odyssey, The Aeneid, Gilgamesh, Sophocles, Aeschylus, Chronicles of Narnia…………we did the self-paced online and really loved it. Lots and Lots of living books. The lectures are wonderful and the questions are really thought provoking too. It is a solid curriculum! This year they are offering a survey course with just the core literature and we will definitely start with that and add what we want to it. It’s a very time consuming curriculum but solid through and through. I wouldn’t even think of using another curriculum. We all love it. Do what you can and what your student enjoys. Remember, it’s way more than most colleges and certainly more than any high school students are doing! I never read Homer in the 7th grade!
