Van Cleave geography

Has anyone used Janice Van Cleave’s Geography for Every Kid?  It’s available at my library, but I’ve never used any of her books, so I don’t know what they are really like.  I’m just wondering if it would be suitable as an extra general book about landforms, maps, etc.  My kids are 10, 11, and 13, but it would mostly be for the younger two.

I simply cannot afford any additional expense for geography as I still have a few living books and grammar books I may need to purchase this summer.  Thanks.
