ULW 4 question for SCM

    Hi guys. Hate to bug, but wondering if ULW4 has a timeframe for release. My 11th grader is really floundering with writing.  He is not a natural reader or writer and I am not capable of helping him. I desperately want to teach writing Charlotte’s way, but I cannot give the individual instruction he needs and writing programs are such a flop over here. I think the ULW style we have loved for grammar will serve us well for composition. I know y’all are super busy cranking out great products for us, just hoping this is coming soon. If not, what would you recommend for an 11th grader?

    Hi Crystal,

    ULW 4 will not be ready in the near future.  For students and parents that need more direct teaching concerning writing, we recommend Analytical Grammar’s Beyond the Book Report Season 3, Essays and Research Paper.

    If you have not been, make sure you are utilizing the writing rubrics at the back of the ULW Teacher’s guides.  These are meant to be used at the student’s level and gradually moving to the next level (increasing expectations).

    Thanks Tamara. I am hopeful my younger two can use the entire ULW series. Any hope of a fall 2021 release? Every fall I freak out over language arts, spend money on different grammar and writing, hate it. Go back to SW/ULW. It so simple and effective. I wish I had younger children so I could start over with all SCM materials. Love you guys.

    Hi Crystal,

    I’m so glad you and your children have found your sweet spot with SW/ULW.  ☺️ At this time we are not certain when ULW book 4 will be ready for release.  Our small team is working on several projects currently.
