  • How to phase it out or get rid of it.

I read some older posts about it as well as the on the blog.  Do you just go through the house and get rid of it all?  I read a wonderful homeschooling book that talked about it though they did not use the word twaddle, and then I read some about it here and there regarding Charlotte Maosn.

My thoughts were to put aside those books in a different bin that I kept on the shelf. Then they could look at them from time to time when we were having a crisis moment or if I really need to be on the phone. Same plan with the movies. Though they do not watch movies often we do have some twaddle worthy ones.  They would be reserved for “special” times. We don’t have any twaddle toys as we have never allowed those crazy electronic things in our house. Just legos, wooden trains, blocks, a kitchen and a few dolls. Plus, some balls for outside and bikes of course.

I am just not sure if this will work?

I got rid of all the twaddle books in our home when we started with CM almost two years ago. But they do sometimes check out twaddle-y books from the library (like Garfield). I wish we did not have electronics in our home. We have Wii and nintendo ds’s. I would burn them but hubby says I’m extreme…sigh…so I try to limit them atleast.
