I’ve been transitioning my kids from twaddle to the living books recommended on this site.  We are doing Module 1 History and have spent the week studying Noah’s Ark.  We have a praise report!  Today, my 6yo son was disappointed that he wasn’t able to do something that his older brother got to do.  So, I told him that he could choose ANY book in the house and we would snuggle and read it together.  We still have many of the twaddle books in the house since we just started CM.  I thought he would choose one of his usual favorites.  His choice?   The True Story of Noah’s Ark!  Yeah!  Score one for living books!  That book is truly amazing, I must admit! I wish I had a coffee table for it!  Could I justify buying a coffee table as a homeschool expense?

Not only would a coffee table act as a display for all your great books, but it would make a wonderful fort, with a blanket on top,  to do that reading in!!

I loved that book too. I was very impressed by what I learned while reading it to my 6 year old!!

I think a coffee table is one of the best homeschool expenses because you use it every day -ours is called “The Book Table”! Laughing

We too LOVE The True Story of Noahs Ark – It is absolutely a treasure!

    Enjoy those living books!
