Trouble with Language Placement

    Hi all,

    I am a little confused with the placement for Using Language Well.  The placement guide seems to indicate that you need to know parts of speech, be able to parse a sentence, etc. in order to be placed in Book 3.  The description of Book 3, however, seems to indicate that you will learn those things IN Book 3, that you will be able to do these things upon completion of Book 3.

    In other words, it seems like what is required knowledge for being placed in Book 3 is what you will be able to do upon completion of Book 3.  I’m not sure which level to use.

    I believe those things are taught n Books 1 and 2 and reviewed in 3

    Parts of speech is covered in Book 2.  Lesson 1 begins with teaching what a noun is.

    Okay, thanks.  I am still not sure which level to use.  If those things are reviewed in Book 3, can we just start there then??
