When I am looking online I find a lot of different types of transcripts. Could anyone give some good do’s and don’t’s to making one up.
Also, what if you don’t really have a ‘school’ name? Do I just write “(last name)” school?
retrofamParticipantI use Transcript Pro software. They have helpful tips.
MistyParticipantBumping to see if there is more out there
Rachel WhiteParticipantHSLDA offers one: https://store.hslda.org/high-school-transcript-service-p262.aspx
I’m trying to decide, too.
Rachel WhiteParticipant@retrofam (or anyone): which Transcript Pro did you get? I like the choice of transcript types (i.e. semester, by subject, annual).
How do you use it? It’s more expensive than HSLDA’s so I’d appreciate some first-hand accounts of someone’s experience with it.
Thanks
retrofamParticipantI bought mine 6 or 7 years ago, the basic version on cdrom at a homeschool convention.
I enter the background information and subjects for each student, and at the end of four years I use the program to check and print the transcript. Each year I add the grades for the year, and the program figures their GPA.
The program told me that I didn’t have any fine arts credits for my son, so I added them. He did fine arts, I forgot to type them in.
You can make a study of transcript creation, or like me-learn enough to get by and produce a credible-looking document with the help of software.
I like that Transcript Pro allows me to use the product for many children and that it is offline.
Hth!
Rachel WhiteParticipantYes, thank you. I like that it can be organized by subject and it handles all the figurin’ for me.
greenebaltsParticipantI have a link to the free online transcript calculator we used here…
