When making a transcript and graduating my child, do we have to meet state graduation requirements for classes and credits taken?

It all depends on your state laws. As far as I’m aware, most states do not require homeschools to meet state requirements for public schools. Home schools are usually viewed more akin to private schools than public ones.

I live in FL and we are not required to fulfill state requirements for graduation.

I live in PA, and we DO have to meet certain requirements (certain number of credits or years of certain subjects). And I think those requirements are the same as the PA public schools’ requirements.

In Ohio, we do not have to meet the graduation requirements that are set forth for public schools, but many parents follow those requirements (credits needed, subjects required) in the hopes of assuring their child’s acceptance into the college of their choice.
