There is a great titanic exhibit near my home. Is anyone familiar with a good living book on the titanic or that time period? My daughter is only 5 so the book will probably be more for me than her but I thought I could share pieces with her.

You might enjoy Polar The Titanic Bear, by Daisy Corning Stone Spedden, together. I remember reading that with my ds when he was younger. I’d love to see that exhibit. Is it one that travels?

Thank you. This exhibit does appear to be a traveling exhibit. Here is the link for where it is now. I don’t know how to look up where it will be in the future.

Does she like chapter books read aloud to her?  It is not classic literature by any means but at that age my kids really enjoyed Tonight on the Titanic, one of the Magic Tree House books.

I second the recommendation for Polar the Titanic Bear.  As I recall, it is a true story.  It has been several years since we read it, but my daughter enjoyed it very much.

Thank you so much for posting the link – I live in Memphis and had no idea about the Discovery Park. Now I have another field trip to add to my list!
