We will be covering the Reformation and Renaissance module this Fall. In the past (with another curriculum that used these timeline figures) we used Homeschool In the Woods- History through the Ages timeline figures. Have any of you used it with the SCM modules? Does the book incoporate those specific figures into it so I know more easily which figures to use? How have you all done it in the past. I would rather not use words or draw our own pictures.
KarenParticipantWe did SCM’s Module 6 last year and this year I’m doing my own thing for Ancient History. I plan to pick up with Mod. 4 next year.
Both last year and currently we’re using the Homeschool in the Woods figures. I just look up the people/events we’ve talked about and print those pages. My girls cut them out and paste them on their time-lines. Since I’m doing my own thing for Ancients, I used the timeline figures as a check to make sure I’m hitting the important/famous people and events.
The SCM module we used mentioned famous people/events and that’s how I knew who to look up.
gcbsmommyParticipantYes, I use Homeschool in the WOods figures for our timeline and it has worked very well. I had an incomplete set this past year, so when I didn’t have the figure needed, we would just create our own.
CorrineParticipantwonderful, thank you both for your feedback! So happy I have these figures!
