Subsitution for Stories of the Nations Vol. 1????

     What can I use in place of Stories of the Nations Vol 1?

    There’s probably not just one substitute. Looks like you’d have to get several books – one for each country, time period, or incident listed in the TOC. Did you search the SCM bookfinder database? Your local library? Did anything look good or come close?

    What about the Eggleston books?  First Book in American History and/or Stories of Americans for Little Americans…One of them is available free on Kindle.

    Child’s History of the World by Hillyer comes to mind.

    My children are 17, 13 and 8. This is my 17 yr last yr and I asked him what he wanted to study and he said American History.  This is my first year using SCM and someone suggested it for all the kids. I just want to make sure I am doing it right for him.
