Hello, I am looking for suggestions on how to cover the History/Geography/Bible in 4 yrs instead of 6since we will start in 9th grade.  I am completely new to CM and hoping it wll possibly work somehow for my daughter who hates to read.  She only enjoys certain kinds of books so I am hoping that these will capture her attention.  I started a little bit right now with having her read Carry on Mr. Bowditch and Across Five Aprils just to kind of see how she likes it.  She likes Carry on Mr, Bowditch, but hates Across Five Aprils.  Also, I don’t know what to expect in her narrations.  Should I have her outline the books maybe?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as the history in 4 years with a 9th grader, here is a post about scheduling: http://simplycharlottemason.com/scmforum/topic/ideas-where-to-begin.  I can’t help with book ideas, but if your dd hasn’t done narrations at all start with verbal narrations.  It is a learned skill and takes time to develope.  There are a lot of ideas for alternative narrations as well here: http://simplycharlottemason.com/timesavers/narration/  I hope this helps a bit.
