We have not started to use Spelling Wisdom and Using Language Well yet but I am curious, do you suggest dropping the practice of copywork and/or transcription all together at some point when implementing this program? Or do you suggest finding a different time all together to continue the practice of copywork?
SW book one starts with copy work that moves to transcription naturally over the first year (first half of the book). The second half of the book is used as dictation. At that point, when my child moves to dictation we no longer do copywork as a subject. They are doing written narrations and other writing at this point that copy work as a subject is not necessary
It is suggested to keep a commonplace book which is also a form of copywork.
