Spelling Wisdom – all I need?

    If I use Spelling Wisdom with my 6th grader is that all I need for spelling, copywork and dictation for that week? How about Grammar? Is that separate?

    Spelling Wisdom will cover spelling, copywork, and dictation but you will need to add grammar in separately.

    The Using Language Well books teach English usage and grammar using the passages in the Spelling Wisdom lessons.

    I don’t think you need grammar in 6th grade. You can wait till 8th or 9th and just do it in one year. They should pick  it up quickly at that age, especially having been exposed to good writing. We did use KISS grammar for a while so sometimes I just incorporate its ideas with our SW passage. I don’t think it has to be a separate subject at all.
