I cannot seem to find a good parental review of Sophie Scholl. Has anyone seen it? What ages would you recommend and why? Also, on Netflix there is a documentary on Bonhoeffer that was made in 2003. There is also a dramatization that came out in 2000. Has anyone seen either of these? Which is best? Would you recommend either?

    Thanks so very much,

I have watched the 2000 movie. I also let my 8 yr. olds watch it. It was very good and not graphic as I can recall, though disturbing at the end as they were hanged.

I would recommend it. YOu may want to check out the version by Focus on the Family audio, too?

    Rachel,

We actually had the Focus on the Family dramatization and enjoyed it. That was when my older ones were younger. We loaned it out at some point and….well, I can’t replace it right now and I saw these movies on Netflix.

Thanks for your input; I know it’s no guarantee, but it so helpful having another mom’s opinion, isn’t it?

    Blessings,

Yes, it is nice to hear other’s opinions who are on a similar track as you are, worldview wise. BTW, while you’re at netflix, check out the Bielski Story from History channel (the movie was good, too it just had some bad language at the beginning) and MAking Choices documentary about the Dutch Resistance. Next, I’m looking for more info. on the Valkyrie Story.
