For those of you using soap berries, how many do you use at a time and how many loads do you use them for?

I used them a long time ago. I had a little cloth bag they went in and I think it took about 7 per load. You can re-use them until they turn gray and ugly.

Soap nut work better in hot water and I use cold to wash.

I boil a bunch and use the liquid.

I would love to try this. Where do you get the soap berries? Are there better quality companies to get them from than others?

I get mine from either https://store.naturoli.com/ or http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/.  So far I have been satisfied with both.  I have heard that some companies have better quality than others but Naturoli was one of the top rated brands.  I usually use about 5 nuts in a bag for each load.  They can be reused quite a few times and then you can compost them for your garden.  Both of the companies that I get from send excellent instructions with the nuts.
