I have 14 down to 1 in age range. Knowing that CM felt it so important for a child to spend their time outside, and learning about life through God’s creation, how do you do it with a wide age range? With trying to help the older ones I feel like my younger ones are missing out. They are defintely not getting as much outside time as their older brothers did when they were younger.

I have three kids, ages 12, 9, and 7.  We go outside together for outdoor time mid-morning everyday.  Sometimes, we walk around, look for critters, or just sit on the back deck and have a snack.  I let them decide.  They usually end up finding something that captures their interest, get running through the woods, etc.  Then, later in the afternoon, they usually are back out there.

With the little ones that you have, obviously you have to be out there with them, so maybe the mid-morning break for all of you would work?

I only have 9, 5 and 18months but we too go out everyday at 10am until 11.  We start school by 9 and get an hour in before going outside.  After lunch we get back to school while baby naps and we are usually done around 2pm.
