Haven’t seen this site mentioned before – they also have a link page so there may be some good stuff there as well.

Speak the Speech:  Universal Shakespeare Broadcasting Company

“We are a non-profit audio theatre company dedicated to providing freely available Shakespearean audio performances online, for the benefit of educators, students, theatre people, the disabled, those in rural areas or overseas, or to put it simply: Everyone!”

I listened to the first part of Romeo and Juliet – good clear audio.  Unfortunately I don’t see a way to download, so must listen from the computer?

    Enjoy!

Thank you for this link; I have an audio reading of E. NEsbit’s version, but not a performance audio of his plays; this will work wonderfully this year!. We are going to see a performance for the first ime this next Spring at a local theatre. We have 2 Shakespeare Companies in Ga., but they are an 80 miles trip into Atlanta so we haven’t done it yet; this one next year is 30 minutes, so I am very excited and so are my children. It’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, which is a favorite for my 9 and 10 yr. olds.

    Thanks again,

    Rachel
