  • Hi,

I just wanted to “share”…wow..today was frustrating trying to get going on “school” AND beginning narrating w/ children who aren’t used to it. We are reading Popper’s Penguin and I decided to read a paragraph and have them narrate because if I would read for to long I would get a blank stare when I asked them to narrate, this is my 7 and 11 year olds. Anyway..so..my son decided to do a little tap dance and sing and WOW…I almost had to ask him to stop narrating, then my 7 year old, almost 8, took off. It was amazing how well they did when they could sing and dance..ha! The baby even got into it, he was in his walker, he is 6 months now, and when the “music” started he was banging his hands!

So..the day ended on a good note, didn’t start out so hot.

I think the organizer is going to be a life saver for me!! I only have one book scheduled in but I am going to gradually add all the kids and subjects, trying not to overwhelm everyone..and myself..ha!

Hope you all are doing well..just wanted to share.

Oh, Kim, that is wonderful! What an encouragment- especially with children that aren’t use to narrating! I can picture it perfectly and have a smile on my face! :)Keep sharing!

How exciting! I think I’ll share this idea with my daughter who, also 8, is not fond of narration. She does love to sing, however! Thanks for the great advice!

    Faith 🙂
