When you read to your child do you begin with the title, author, and illustrator? I feel like I may rush too much when I read to my DS.

    Thanks!

Not a silly question. Yes, I tell them these things, but only at the first time reading.
At subsequent readings I just mention the title or announce that I’m going to be reading it (mention title), but they usually know by then.

That’s not a silly question and I do it every time.  It gets them familiar with authors and illustrators which IMHO is an important part of learning to love books!
