I’m trying her bi-weekly meal plan as written mostly. So far everything has been a hit. Skipping the avacodo and cheese sandwiches later in the week though. I don’t think those would go over so well.
This is a great website! I hadn’t heard of it before. I’m trained in holistic nutrition and we love Nourishing Traditions! I’m having a great time going through and looking at all of the recipes!
Lindsey’s right. I’m willing to hire someone. Any whole foodie, yummy foodie nutrition loving, planning and shopping loving types who live in Jacksonville, FL should submit their application via PM.
I wish I lived near you ladies! I don’t think anyone here lives near me (BC, Canada). I did my training in that because I wanted something that would be applicable to my home life, since I knew I wasn’t planning to work outside of the home. I find traditional diets really interesting, and love growing and harvesting, and making food! I’m not nearly as on top of things as I’d like though, as all of my kids are littles right now – it gets quite time consuming! Keep posting great recipes when you see them!
I’m new here, saw this post and had to look. I had never heard of the nourishing home website! I am loving it, and probably could stay up way to late looking at it. The one things I’ve found is when I use almond flour for baking, we have to eat whatevr it is when it is fresh out of the oven or my kids and I can’t stand whatever it is. My husband will eat it but the rest of us don’t like it much later and definitely not the next day. Kind a bummer b/c I like to bake a large batch and freeze. But to me it is like eating sawdust! I can’t choke it down. So, we probably could eat all of the cinnamon steusel muffins whether we should or not, but I will have to try the other ones, maybe those will freeze better.
Anyone else find this with almond flour or are we just wierd?
I like to cook healthy foods but this tread is making me feel guilty.
I feel like I should have baked something special for our first day of school (this is our 3rd week so a little late!) but I didn’t.
Actually I did make French toasts for breakfast though. I have been experimenting w/gluten free waffles too, everyone love those.
Baking is the one thing that I have a hard time finding time for and gets put off as I do not consider it a necessity and as I tend to eat too much when I bake!!
Hope to try some of these recipes when I have a chance…
I am curious about how that first recipe can actually rise?!?
