We are currently in Year 4 of our homeschooling. Year before last, we used the SCM Curriculum Guide and read A Midsummer Night’s Dream aloud. Next term, I was planning to follow the Curriculum Guide again and read Comedy of Errors. However, we are going to be studying the Renaissance and Middle Ages next year, and the Curriculum Guide recommends Romeo and Juliet. We started our History/Geo. w/ SCM a year late. Would you skip Shakespeare this year in favor of Romeo and Juliet next year, especially since it coordinates so nicely w/ the History module? Would you do both Comedy of Errors this year and Romeo and Juliet next year? Or something different?

    Thanks,

    Lindsey

Shakespeare is every year in my home. Whatever is chosen, he’s there.

We try to do at least one a year and I don’t try to coordinate.

We do one every year and enjoy it, although I tend to stick to the lighter comedies for now. 😉

We do Shakespeare every year as well, one or two per year.

I don’t have a problem with every year.  But then I’ve always enjoyed Shakespeare myself.
