If you are like me, I struggle with the handicraft area of CM but I really want to put more effort into it because I have seen my children enjoy the time spent doing even the smallest of projects. They are especially proud of themselves once they have finished. I came across this website and wanted to share it with everyone. She has a very simple set of lessons all laid out for you. Hope this helps someone
This looks really neat. I’ve been wanting to start sewing with my 6yo, this gives me some direction. I like that they are actually producing something in the beginning lessons to get them excited about it. Thanks for sharing.
That looks like a good resource. I hope you don’t mind me adding another one. I believe I purchased this through Amazon. It is a book called “Sewing School”. It has easy porjects for young kids like pillows, coasters, hats, aprons, and even a simple skirt, and more. It also teaches how to patch something and do hemming. I haven’t started using it with my daugter yet, but we will definitely utilize this when we begin school in the fall. Right now we want to enjoy the outdoors:)
I was just trying to think of some handicraft ideas for my younger ones. We did many of these with my older two, but I should get the younger ones going as well.
