If you are like me, I struggle with the handicraft area of CM but I really want to put more effort into it because I have seen my children enjoy the time spent doing even the smallest of projects. They are especially proud of themselves once they have finished. I came across this website and wanted to share it with everyone. She has a very simple set of lessons all laid out for you. Hope this helps someone
sherazParticipantThank you for sharing. =)
lnosbornParticipantThis looks really neat. I’ve been wanting to start sewing with my 6yo, this gives me some direction. I like that they are actually producing something in the beginning lessons to get them excited about it. Thanks for sharing.
psreitmomParticipantThat looks like a good resource. I hope you don’t mind me adding another one. I believe I purchased this through Amazon. It is a book called “Sewing School”. It has easy porjects for young kids like pillows, coasters, hats, aprons, and even a simple skirt, and more. It also teaches how to patch something and do hemming. I haven’t started using it with my daugter yet, but we will definitely utilize this when we begin school in the fall. Right now we want to enjoy the outdoors:)
HollySParticipantI was just trying to think of some handicraft ideas for my younger ones. We did many of these with my older two, but I should get the younger ones going as well.
I’ll add another one! 😉 My DC have really enjoyed this book! http://www.amazon.com/My-First-Sewing-Book-Projects/dp/1907563717/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1367454350&sr=8-12&keywords=sewing+for+kids
