Serl's Lessons and Writing Tales-too much?

I’m considering using Writing Tales alongside PLL/ILL; just skipping areas in PLL/ILL that overlap. I like the simplicity, the re-writing of stories and straight-forward style. He’ll also be doing Latin, Spelling Wisdom and continuing copywork. I think he’ll be more intersted in rewriting these stories than writing arbitrary paragraphs from subjects in Language Lessons.
