After a year and a half of using the Scripture Memory Box, we’ve filled it! (i’m pretty excited about this)
Right now we are working on Genesis 1, that will take us through till the end of May I think. After that, what do we do with the new verses/old verses as we proceed?
We are planning on pulling previously memorized verses and expanding them to larger portions of those chapters, but will also be adding more verses.
I’m becoming more and more a minimalist, mostly becuase I get so lost in “more.” so I don’t want to add a second box.
What have you all done?
Scherger5ParticipantWe just recently filled ours too – It is exciting! I decided to go back to the beginning and add our new verses to the ones already there. Does that make sense? So, eventually we will have two verses per divider. But, I would love to hear other ideas as well, because the box can only hold so many. Do verses ever get “retired”?
Heather
BookwormParticipantWe just keep adding more to the review portion of the divider. My 10yo has two in most of the numbered sections, and both my teens have 4 or more. We do find the monthly review of them a big plus.
Michelle KellyParticipantWhat is the review portion of the dividers? The monthly date number cards? We have daily, odd, even, days of week, month date numbers.
BookwormParticipantYes, the monthly date number cards–those verses on sort of “maintenance”
Michelle KellyParticipantThank you 🙂
